Okeanos Marshall Islands (OMI) endeavours to provide help and assistance to local communities in need, particularly in the remotest areas of Marshall Islands, by providing safe and sustainable sea transportation with an emphasis on conservation, preservation of traditional values and culture, and developing access to goods for all Marshall Islanders. Our vaka is also used as a platform for learning and awareness particularly for schools.

We have partnered with the Marshallese government to support ministries such as Health and Education, Marshall Islands National Disaster Management Office (NDMO), NGOs and educational institutions to provide regular sustainable sea transportation to remote atolls. Notably, OMI has serviced the nuclear legacy victims of Enewetak and Bikini atolls who are among Marshall Islandsā€˜ most vulnerable communities.

Okeanos in the Marshall Islands partners with the following organisations and works with many more mayors and small local businesses to assist with much needed regular and reliable food deliveries to the Outer Atolls:

College of the Marshall Islands

Misco Market

Canoes of the Marshall Islands

National Disaster Management Office
